🌐 PART II: SYNOPTIC OVERVIEW — Situation 1200UTC, July 26, 2026
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) extends westward from 09N33W to 07N58W, crossing the southern portion of the area. The eastern Atlantic tropical wave along 39W lies east of the region and is moving westward at 10–15 kt, but is not yet directly affecting this area. Scattered moderate convection is present mainly along and south of the ITCZ, particularly near 07N–10N between 45W and 58W. Convective activity decreases farther north of 10N, where the influence of the subtropical ridge promotes more stable conditions. Moderate to fresh easterly trade winds prevail across the region, producing moderate seas. No significant low-pressure systems or organized tropical disturbances are present within 45W–60W at this time.
🌧 Saharan Dust: A Saharan Air Layer persists mainly north of 10N, producing hazy skies and dry mid-level conditions. South of 10N, ITCZ moisture continues to support scattered convection.
⛵ PART III: WEATHER FORECAST — 1200UTC July 26, 2026 to 1200UTC July 27, 2026
Moderate to fresh easterly trade winds will continue across the area under the influence of the Atlantic subtropical ridge. The ITCZ will remain positioned across the southern portion of the region, supporting scattered moderate showers and thunderstorms, mainly south of 10°N. No significant tropical cyclones or organized low-pressure systems are expected to affect the area during the forecast period. Moderate seas will persist.

Wednesday July 29: Slight increase in atmospheric instability; scattered afternoon showers (up to 20 mm) mainly inland.
